Lee Opening

Hello families! It has been an awesome week and some! We worked hard on place value, number sense, retelling stories, and the plot.  Today we learned a neat song for learning summary (somebody, wanted, but, so, then). Your learners took part in a "mini challenge" where they had to come up with a way to arrange our classroom that would be the most conducive to learning.  They created a list of questions, a design, and then presented their designs to the class.  We took all of their designs and came up with a pretty great arrangement.  I'd say they are pretty proud of what they came up with, and I was so impressed by their hard work and serious attitudes towards the process.

The collaboration was amazing!

 Look at that concentration!

The final product!

In math, we are working on Place Value.  We counted by 1's, 10's, and 100's to figure out how many straws we had!

 Our final count? 1,006!

It was such an honor to be a part of the Grand Opening of Lee Elementary.  There are moments I truly tear up just thinking about how amazing this building is, and most importantly, how amazing the people who fill it are.  Monday was an INCREDIBLE day filled with so many wonderful "feel good" moments.  I was so proud of your learners for helping to make it so special!

Our friend, Aryan, did an awesome job introducing Mrs. Kastrounis!

 We are official!

Recess fun!

Have a great week!
